In science we were learning about worms and how long they are. We were trying to find the head and the tail. The worms have lines that are called segments, segments are parts of their bodies. If you cut along one of the worm's lines it won't die because it still grows but if you cut the stomach it will die. We were taking pictures and videos. When Mr Pattison brought out the chicks we had to answer questions to get the chicks first. We went in groups and hopped in a circle to look at them.

On Tuesday we went to science. At science we got to see the smelly naughty chicks.
The chicks were extremely fast, they were as fast as a Cheetah. They had feathers that were as fluffy as a pillow and there beaks were as sharp as a dagger. Sometimes we stayed away from the chicks because we were scared that they would bite us. There were 5 birds and they were all different colours. Sometimes they pecked us.
On Friday we did P.E. up in the hall. Room 12 were learning how to do a chest pass with our partners. We then played a game where we had to chest pass the ball to other people without dropping it. We were super good at playing that game. Coach Paris will be back next Friday. I wonder what we are going to learn next. By Theresa, Owen and Dante
Room 12 have been working hard on our bird pictures. We practised on scrap paper, then we copied it on to cardboard. Then we outlined our birds with vivid. We drew the outline on to coloured paper and newspaper. We used paint and string to make power lines for the background and we dyed the paper blue and yellow.
The giraffe's group was reading about wood storks. Wood storks are a bird that picks up twigs. It can fly, dive and glide. A wood stork can eat little fish, frogs, crayfish and long snakes.Wood storks have long legs and they have a sharp beak. Male wood storks get twigs for the nests. The females lay eggs in their nest and then one day the baby will hatch out of his or her egg.
Today Mr Pattison brought some little baby chicks into our class. They are really cute and Mr Pattison said they hatched last night. When they hatched Mr Pattison said they used their little beaks to crack open their eggs. I wonder how many will hatch. I can't wait until they grow bigger. Hopefully we will get a better picture soon! What do you think their names should be? By Tuiko and Kryzlah

We drew cartoon pictures and outlined them with vivid. Then we glued strips of paper on our cartoon pictures. To make the background we got a piece of paper and scrunched it up. We layered it with crayon and dyed it. By Dontay and Raphael
