The computer Bee In Science

 In science Mr Pattison showed us how to use the robot bee. It can only go three meters. Mr Pattison told us how to use the buttons. 

This was showing us how a computer is programmed. Like what we have been doing with scratch. 

When we finished playing around with it he gave us an iPad, he told us that we had to buddy up with room 5.

Soccer

This is us practising evading with the soccer coaches in the hall. We had to try and lose our partner and they had to follow you and stay as close as they can.

Life Jackets

At swimming we were learning about how to stay safe at sea and what to do if we fall in the water. We were practising what to do wearing a life jacket. Make sure you stay in a group so you can stay warm. What else can you do to keep safe in the water?

Swimming

On Fridays we will be going to the swimming pools. We go to the Otara pools. It is fun, we learn how to swim there. Our coaches are Steve, Stan and Peter. Room 12 loves to swim. The little pool was a bit cold but the big pool was colder.

Constable Painter

One day Constable Painter came in to our class. She was telling us how to keep safe, she taught us a game  it is kind of like noughts and crosses. Constable Painter asked us questions about our rights and responsibilities which was a part of the game.

Rights are things that people say and do. The things you need like having the right to learn or have food and clothing.

Responsibilities are the things that are your decisions and the things that you say and do.Can you give us an example of a right or responsibility?

Prince George

 Prince George is the son of Prince William and Princess Catherine. Prince George will be the King of England when Prince William dies. When Prince William's dad dies then Prince William will be the King. Prince William, Princess Catherine and their little baby George just visited New Zealand for ten days. They all must of had a great time on the plane when the were on their way. They had a sailing race and Princess Catherine won.

Healthy Lunches

Healthy lunches are good for you so if you bring junk lunch ask your mum if you could bring a piece of fruit and a sandwich. This is the food you should not be bringing to school - chocolate, fizzy drinks, orange chips, lollipops. So make the right choices for your lunch.

Senior Assembly

This afternoon we had our senior assembly. Room 17 shared some poems, sung some songs in Maori and did a cool dance. At the end they had a quiz and the kids could win Easter eggs. The teachers had a question too and Kryzlah helped Miss Zeier win an Easter egg! After it was finished they gave out the class cup and the winners were... Room 12!!!

The Terrifying Dinosour

One day after school I went for a walk in the forest. When I got to the forest I heard someone walking towards me, then "Ahhhh!".  A large dinosaur came towards me and bit my leg. I screamed as loud as I could, then it was good bye Mele.

The Awesome Chicks.

On Tuesday we went to science. In science class we got to look after the smelly chicks. They were as fast as a flash, their beaks were as sharp as a knife, they were so naughty that we thought nobody could handle them. Luckily we could hold them. Their skin was so fluffy. We were taking pictures of the chicks, tadpoles and worms. Mr Pattison asked us questions about the chicks and the worms.

Funny Fred is the most unusual pet you'll ever see. We created our own unusual Funny Fred. Our pet had a monkey head, elephant ears, a giraffes neck, zebra legs and a dinosaurs body.  Have a look at Papehia and Dontay's creations.
