Kiwikick

Last friday we did afl. We learned a skill called drop punt. A drop punt means if your holding a ball and you want to kick it straight to the person you want to kick it at. So you have to put the ball down up to you knees, but laces away from faces and then kick the ball.

The New Student in Our Class

Last last Monday a  new student joined our class and he was a boy, his name was Colin. He didnt like to talk too much cause he was scared. Miss Zeier told us to play with the new student. But we asked Colin if he wanted to play and didnt feel like playing. Colin is a nice new student and the next break we asked him again and he said yes so we played tiggy the whole lunch time. My Special Family

My family is the best family in the world. They take care of me and they always love me. They always buy me stuff that I want. My family is very special because they never forget or hate me. 

I really love my family because with out them I'd be left out in the street. I love my mum and dad and my two sisters and my two dogs. I love my parents very much because they bought me a PS3 and a PSP.  For my PS3 games they bought me Call of Duty and Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and 1.

Blogging with Room 11

The other day we where blogging with Room11 and we were helping them learn how to blog. We helped them in the library and we used the iPads too. We used the iPads because we had to do Tellagami. Tellagami is like a project that you can create a person and record things. We use it in our class and talk about what is happening in our school. What do you do on an iPad?

Orienteering

At the end of last term we learned to follow maps and find the place we were going. We had a little practise first. Mrs Robinson handed each person in the group a map. On the  map it showed classes, fences, poles, gardens, trees, and the field. We had to orienteer around the school. You can use orienteering if your lost and use a map to find out where you are. We had so much fun and we learnt how to navigate and use a key. Have you ever tried orienteering?

A Tulip

A tulip is a flower that does not need any seeds for it to grow. Tulips can be red, white, yellow, purple, and pink. Some tulips have petals with smooth edges. Tulips grow in many places. What is your favourite flower in the world? Is it a tulip or a rose or something else?

Two weeks holiday

In my holiday I played on my ps3. I played call of Duty Ghost and Call of Duty Blackops 2. After that I went outside to play with my freinds at home. We played rugby. I was in the Blues and my other freind was in the Chiefs. The chiefs scored once and then we scored once. After I went home cause it was dinner time. After dinner we brushed our teeth and went to sleep.

Soccer

This is us practising evading with the soccer coaches in the hall. We had to try and lose our partner and they had to follow you and stay as close as they can.

Life Jackets

At swimming we were learning about how to stay safe at sea and what to do if we fall in the water. We were practising what to do wearing a life jacket. Make sure you stay in a group so you can stay warm. What else can you do to keep safe in the water?

Maui and the Sun

I like reading Maui and the sun because it tells us about Maui using the magic jawbone to smash the sun. Maui took his brothers with him so that they can slow the day down because the days were too long.

Anzac day

Anzac day is when we remember the soldiers that died in World War One. Anzac day is when we think about the dads and uncles that died. Anzac day is really sad because some of the soldiers didn't survive the war. Anzac day is the saddest day because lots of soldiers have been killed and lots of boats exploded.

THE BABY CHICKS

Today Mr Pattison brought some little baby chicks into our class. They are really cute and Mr Pattison said they hatched last night. When they hatched Mr Pattison said they used their little beaks to crack open their eggs. I wonder how many will hatch. I can't wait until they grow bigger. Hopefully we will get a better picture soon!
