Planets of our Solar System

Did you know the sun is a star not a planet? Some planets are near the sun. That is how we get our sunlight. Did you know some planets have more moons then another planets? Mars has 2 moons but Jupiter has over 50!

my favourtie rose

My favourite rose is a pink and white rose. They look so pretty. I think that the colorful roses look so cool. My nan grows some in the front of our house. I like roses because they're red and they smell nice. I love my roses because they bloom so beautiful. When the sun shines on the beautiful roses I can smell them from far away. Soccer

This is us practising evading with the soccer coaches in the hall. We had to try and lose our partner and they had to follow you and stay as close as they can.

Life Jackets

At swimming we were learning about how to stay safe at sea and what to do if we fall in the water. We were practising what to do wearing a life jacket. Make sure you stay in a group so you can stay warm. What else can you do to keep safe in the water?

CROCODILE CAKE

In Room 12 we have a book called crocodile cake. The best part in the book is eating the crocodiles  tail. The scary part in the book was when the girl ran in the dark night and the crocodile was chasing her.

Senior Assembly

This afternoon we had our senior assembly. Room 17 shared some poems, sung some songs in Maori and did a cool dance. At the end they had a quiz and the kids could win Easter eggs. The teachers had a question too and Kryzlah helped Miss Zeier win an Easter egg! After it was finished they gave out the class cup and the winners were... Room 12!!!

All About Family Fun Day

On Thursday it was family  fun day. It was all about our families coming and having fun together with us. 

We had a DJ to play some music. We had lots of parents there. We had some awesome games . It was a beautiful sunny day. 


We had a boys and girls challenge when we were dancing. The girls won!

Flying to Freedom

In room 12 we have been doing birds for our art. We needed lots of different kinds of coloured paper. We drew four birds to make stencils.  We put the stencils on the coloured paper to make 12 different birds. 


To make the background we used dye and crayons. We put string in paint to make power lines for the birds to sit on. 

We made two big birds using the fingerprints of all the kids in our class.

STAR Tests

Today we started our star tests. We had to fill out the blank spaces with the words that make sense. We had to circle the words that matched the picture. We cant wait till we get our score.

Book Parade

Today was the last day of Literacy Week. Lots of kids were dressed up as book characters. One person was dressed up as Willy Wonka and another one was Bob the Builder. There were heaps of different characters from books and movies. Even the teachers were dressed up and they were dancing to Gangnam Style. All the kids were dancing in the parade Look at the people from our cool class!
