Origami cranes
This term we are making origami cranes for our art exhibition. We knew how to make our amazing cranes because we practised and practised and... practised. Our beautiful teacher Miss Zeier told us step by step how to do it when we first made it. We all found it confusing to make it at first, so we hope you and your young teacher know how to make some really awesome cranes. Remember to work as a team.

At swimming we were learning about how to stay safe at sea and what to do if we fall in the water. We were practising what to do wearing a life jacket. Make sure you stay in a group so you can stay warm. What else can you do to keep safe in the water?

Wooden Sticks
There are wooden sticks in the garden that say something in Maori. If you speak Maori you may know what the words mean. If you do not you may like to take a guess. See if you can figure them all out. These are found on the bark near Room 19. Hint - They are our school values!

Constable Painter
One day Constable Painter came in to our class. She was telling us how to keep safe, she taught us a game it is kind of like noughts and crosses. Constable Painter asked us questions about our rights and responsibilities which was a part of the game.Rights are things that people say and do. The things you need like having the right to learn or have food and clothing.
Responsibilities are the things that are your decisions and the things that you say and do.Can you give us an example of a right or responsibility?

Wetland
Today Mr P let us look after the Fish in the Wetland. We are learning what to feed the fish. We are thinking about more fish to put in the wetland. We have to look after the fish carefully because of the birds, so we are building a shelter so the fish don't get eaten. Remember - if you have got a pet take care of your wonderful pets.

Helmets
Helmets are very important to wear when you are riding a bike, scooter or motorbike because if you are riding a bike you might fall and hit your head. This is very dangerous because you might get hurt or die. You must always wear your helmet everywhere you go.By Orlando

The Return of The T-rex
One normal day when we were writing we heard terrible stomps. Holy moly, its a terrible dinosaur. Everybody ran for their lives. A large brown body was coming towards us. It had almost a million teeth. It stared into my eyes like a slimy snake. I was so scared I was going to die. People started to die. I became too scared to fight I watched people die and get eaten up. Then it was over I was dead.

The Awesome Chicks.

On Tuesday we went to science. In science class we got to look after the smelly chicks. They were as fast as a flash, their beaks were as sharp as a knife, they were so naughty that we thought nobody could handle them. Luckily we could hold them. Their skin was so fluffy. We were taking pictures of the chicks, tadpoles and worms. Mr Pattison asked us questions about the chicks and the worms.

The Smelly Chicks
The chicks were extremely fast, they were as fast as a Cheetah. They had feathers that were as fluffy as a pillow and there beaks were as sharp as a dagger. Sometimes we stayed away from the chicks because we were scared that they would bite us. There were 5 birds and they were all different colours. Sometimes they pecked us.
