This is us practising evading with the soccer coaches in the hall. We had to try and lose our partner and they had to follow you and stay as close as they can.

Life Jackets

At swimming we were learning about how to stay safe at sea and what to do if we fall in the water. We were practising what to do wearing a life jacket. Make sure you stay in a group so you can stay warm. What else can you do to keep safe in the water?

SEAT BELT SAFTEY

If you are going somewhere in a car and you have your seat belt on and your mum and dad do not have their seat belt on you should tell them to put it on. Always make sure you are safe.

Maui and the Sun

I like reading Maui and the sun because it tells us about Maui using the magic jawbone to smash the sun. Maui took his brothers with him so that they can slow the day down because the days were too long.

Swimming

On  Friday we went to the swimming pool in Otara. We brought our togs, towel and our plastic bag. We went and sat down on the seats and waited for the people to come and tell us to go inside   the pool. Our instructors names were Stan Peter and Steve. They were teaching us to swim and split us up in to groups. We were playing a game called What's the Time Mr Shark? The instructors were the shark and if they touch you that means you are the shark.

Senior Assembly

This afternoon we had our senior assembly. Room 17 shared some poems, sung some songs in Maori and did a cool dance. At the end they had a quiz and the kids could win Easter eggs. The teachers had a question too and Kryzlah helped Miss Zeier win an Easter egg! After it was finished they gave out the class cup and the winners were... Room 12!!!

Dinosaur at Dawson

One day I walked to school. It was a nice day. When I got to school it was morning tea. The bell rang to go and play. I went and  played on the playground, then I heard  a noise. All the kids that  were on the playground went quiet. Then I saw a humungous dinosaur. Everyone screamed and ran away. I threw a stick at the dinosaurs mouth and I screamed and ran away. The dinosaur followed me. The dinosaur stood on the path and the dinosaur said raaa!!!

All About Family Fun Day

On Thursday it was family  fun day. It was all about our families coming and having fun together with us. 

We had a DJ to play some music. We had lots of parents there. We had some awesome games . It was a beautiful sunny day. 


We had a boys and girls challenge when we were dancing. The girls won!

My Holiday in Samoa

I have been in Samoa for the last 3 weeks. When I was in Samoa I went to the beach with my uncle, my aunt and my cousin. We went in a tow truck and my uncle was driving. The beach was called Matareva. We put on our swimming togs and we ran into the water. The water was nice and cold.


Matareva Beach is number 12 on the map.
